Mesotopos is a small village in Lesvos with farming, livestock, and fishing tradition. For generations, each family has been making its own dairy products: cheeses – feta, ladotyri (local oil cheese), kefalotyri, and myzithra – and butter, exclusively from sheep and goat milk. This tradition and consistency in quality are at the heart of the local Rural Livestock Cooperative, which has been operating since 1923.
